Frequently asked questions

Peg isn't hearing my guitar

Peg needs microphone access. Go to Settings > Peg on your iPhone and turn on Microphone, then reopen Peg. Hold the iPhone close to the guitar and pluck one string at a time.

Does it work with an electric guitar?

Yes, through the iPhone microphone. An unplugged electric guitar is quiet, so hold the iPhone close to the strings. Peg doesn't support cable or audio-interface input.

How do I pick a string?

You don't have to. Peg works out which string you're playing. To tune against one string only, tap it; tap it again to go back to automatic.

When is a string in tune?

When it's within 5 cents of the target note. The display turns green, your iPhone gives a short tap, and the string gets a green dot.

Which tuning does Peg use?

Standard tuning: E A D G B E, from the low string to the high one. There's nothing to choose.

Is my audio recorded?

No. Audio is processed on your iPhone to measure pitch and is never recorded, saved or uploaded. Peg doesn't collect any data. See the privacy policy.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Peg is available in 15 languages: English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai.

常见问题

Peg 听不到我的吉他

Peg 需要麦克风权限。打开 iPhone 的设置 > Peg，打开麦克风，再重新打开 Peg。把 iPhone 靠近吉他，一次只弹一根弦。

电吉他能用吗？

能，用 iPhone 麦克风收音。电吉他不插音箱时声音很小，请把 iPhone 靠近琴弦。Peg 不支持线材或声卡输入。

要先选弦吗？

不用。Peg 会自动识别你在弹哪根弦。如果只想对某一根调，点一下那根弦；再点一次回到自动。

怎样算调准了？

和目标音相差 5 音分以内就算准。这时界面变绿，手机轻轻一震，这根弦会亮一个绿点。

用的是哪种调弦？

标准调弦：从低音弦到高音弦依次是 E A D G B E，不用另外选择。

会录音吗？

不会。声音只在你的 iPhone 上处理，用来测音高，不录音、不保存、不上传。Peg 不收集任何数据。详见隐私政策。

支持哪些设备？

iOS 18 或更高版本的 iPhone。支持简体中文、繁体中文、英文、日文、韩文、西班牙文、葡萄牙文、法文、德文、意大利文、俄文、土耳其文、印尼文、越南文、泰文，共 15 种语言。
